Pelvic floor therapy

Pelvic floor therapy is a branch of physiotherapy that focuses on the treatment of disorders in the pelvic floor area. The pelvic floor is a complex of muscles and connective tissue that closes off the lower part of the pelvis and plays an important role in controlling the bladder, rectum and reproductive organs.

The aim of pelvic floor therapy is to strengthen, relax and coordinate the pelvic floor in order to treat disorders such as incontinence, prolapse or pelvic pain. The therapy includes a variety of exercises tailored to the patient's individual needs and abilities, as well as manual techniques to improve the tension and coordination of the pelvic floor.

Pelvic floor therapy is used for various conditions, such as incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, prostate problems, lower back pain, sexual dysfunction and for preparation for and rehabilitation after gynecological and urological operations. The therapy is suitable for men and women of all ages and can be used both preventively and therapeutically.

We also treat with biofeedback and electrostimulation!
