Questions about appointments

Can I cancel or postpone an appointment?
Yes, appointments can be canceled or postponed, but we ask for early notification. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, we will charge you privately for the treatment.
How long does a treatment take?
A typical treatment takes about 25 minutes, including undressing and dressing. An additional consultation may be required.
How can I book further appointments?
For further appointments, please contact our reception desk after your treatment. If reception is unoccupied, you can also book appointments yourself at our self-service terminal in the practice or on our website www.reha-prime.ch.

Questions about the regulation

How long is a physiotherapy prescription valid for?
A prescription for physiotherapy is valid for three months. We recommend booking the first appointment within five weeks of the date of issue.
What happens if I come to physiotherapy without a prescription?

You can also come to physiotherapy privately without a prescription. As a private payer, you pay directly at reception after your treatment.

How many physiotherapy sessions does one prescription cover?

A physiotherapy prescription usually comprises 9 treatments and a maximum of 4 regular prescriptions are issued per therapy case.

A long-term prescription can be issued for complex therapy cases with longer treatment periods. In such cases, we usually submit an application for cost approval to the relevant funding body.

Questions about medical training therapy (MTT)

What is medical training therapy (MTT)?
Medical training therapy (MTT) is an individually tailored form of training that is used to treat chronic complaints, pain or for rehabilitation after injuries. It is carried out under expert guidance and aims to improve physical performance.
When is medical training therapy (MTT) recommended?
MTT is a complementary measure to passive treatment by the therapist and is a recommended measure in almost all cases. As the training load is very low and the focus is not on muscle growth but on strengthening the affected structures, MTT can be carried out by almost all patients. If MTT is not an option for you, your therapist will let you know.
